Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and we're gonna be taking a look at, I'm gonna show you how to install the Curt front mount trailer hitch. Adding a front mount trailer hitch to the front of your Jeep Wrangler is gonna allow you to do a couple of different things. Primarily, you can use it for bike racks, cargo carriers, front mount winches. I would say that's probably the most common one. We've also got some small snowplows that fit on the front of Jeep Wranglers. more

Now there's a couple of different reasons of why you would want to add a front mount trailer hitch to the front of your Jeep. And those are if you want to carry a cargo carrier on the front. Maybe you want to carry a bike rack to get bikes to and from the trail, but you still want to be able to pull a trailer. Front mount winches are very popular. more

Now there's a few different reasons of why you might want to add a front mount trailer hitch to the front of your Jeep Wrangler. And those are maybe you wanna haul a bikerack or a cargo carrier, a front mount winch that goes into the hitch receiver. We've got some smaller snow plows on our website that a lot of people like to use Wranglers for to plow snow. You can use it for a recovery point 'cause it does have a straight line pole rating. more

This is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. This is going to give us the ability to add items on the front of our Jeep if our hitch on the back is being used. For instance, we can put cargo carriers, bike racks, we can put winches on here, maybe you want to out a front tire or spare tire carrier on there. It's going to help with even moving trailers if you move trailers a lot, it's going to make it a lot easier to move those trailers around, or even a snow plow. more

Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler, we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver. Part Number 65069. All right. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it tucks up nicely underneath our front bumper here and doesn't really stick out much past where a license plate would sit. It is recessed behind the push part here of our bumper by our fog lights. more

Front Mount Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Curt- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we'll be reviewing and installing the Curt Front-Mounted Two-Inch Receiver Tube Hitch, part number 31432. Now here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. The hitch is completely made of steel and is a fully welded construction. You've got a nice strong square cross tube with a nice black powder-coated finish. This is a 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube and it's go the pre-drilled hole for a 5/8 pin or locking pin. This hitch is capable of up to 9,000 pounds of line pull and 350 pounds of vertical load. The gross trailer weight is 3500 pounds and it comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist your selecting accessories for your new hitch. more
